  • Summary of Exhibition:
    In the Japanese Middle Age, monk Chogen who rebuilt Todaiji temple also produced renovation works of Sayamaike Dam. Chogen adopted a stone water pipe. It is a recycled stone coffin that was used to burial ancient tombs. Also, people of all the status and levels of all participated in the Sayamaike dam construction under the command of Cgogen. In this exhibition, we focus on stone materials and recycled materials adopted by Chogen and introduce this in the explanation panel.
